Spoiler: American Idol 10 Top 12 girls song list and order of performances

The taping of the girls performances earlier today at CBS Television City in Hollywood is over and spoilers are out!

If you don't want to know what Thia or the rest of the Top 12 girls picked for their songs and the order they will perform, please skip this post!! Otherwise, proceed...

All right Thia is performing 10th which is a good place to be considering there are 12 of them and the last 3 performances tend to stay fresh in people's minds UNLESS the first few performances are outstanding! The last to perform always get it best!

We hope Thia won't ever have to perform first and that she gets to sing last at some point in the competition when it is most needed!!

Ready for her song choice? She could be doing Irene Cara's "Out here on my own" from the 1980 musical 'Fame' version or the 2009 remake version of the same song by Naturi Naughton.

Not sure about the song choice. Her voice would be perfect but the arrangement of the song is what worries us...

This original piece is very mellow and subdued that could translate to being 'sleepy' on a live stage!

Out Here On My Own

2009 version by Naturi Naughton

The key here is too high and it is high all through out...

Doesn't matter though because we for one will be doing our 50 max online voting and see how fast we can do that and if there's still time, call to vote too!!

The winner of the night could be Pia Toscano! Not only did she pick a great song, she gets to perform last too!! Contestants who sing trite and overused songs on Idol should be eliminated right away -- Hero?! Summertime?! Fallin?!! even Breakaway! How could you pick that song Julie?!

We don't mean no disrespect to these songs, they are all great and that's the problem- they're better left untouched and should be given back to the original artists. Idol producers: give these songs a rest!!

Check out what the rest of the girls picked:

1. Ta-Tynisa Wilson with “Only Girl” by Rianana
2. Naima Adedapo with “Summertime”  The Old Gershwin song from Porgy and Bess
3. Kendra Chantelle Campbelle sings “Impossible” by Christina Aguliera
4.  Rachel Zevita is singing “Criminal” by Fiona Apple
5.  Karen Rodriguez – “Hero” in Spanish and English (Mirah Carey version)
6. Lauren Turner sings “Seven Day Fool by Etta James but it’s Jully Black’s version
7.  Ashthon Jones sings “Love Over Me” by Monica
8. Julie Zorilla sang  “Breakaway” by Kelly Clarkson
9. Haley Reinhart sings ” Fallin” by Alicia Keys
10. This Megia sings  “Out Here On My Own” by Irene Cara
11. Lauren Alania Suddeth sings  “Turn on the Radio” by Reba McIntyre
12. Pia Toscano sings “I’ll Stand by You”

HollywoodLife: ‘American Idol’ Vocal Coaches: Thia Megia Is ‘Amazing’ & Charice Fans Will Help Carry Her To The Top!

Even though she has a friend with some of the most amazing fans in the world, Thia Megia’s phenomenal talent alone will carry her through the competition, say the American Idol vocal coaches!

We’ve only reached the American Idol Top 24, but two of the hit reality show’s vocal coaches predict Thia Megia will go far in the competition. Not only does she have the support of her friend Charice’s fans around the world, she’s one of the best talents they’ve seen!

“The kid is amazing. She’s 15. She’s so beyond her years musically, it’s insane,” Michael Orland raved about the pint-size belter from Mountain House, Calif. to HollywoodLife.com at the Idol Prom in Hollywood Feb. 24.

He added, “This is the first year we’ve had 15-year-olds on the show — I’d like to see her do well because of that.”

However, talent alone isn’t going to get Thia to the Top 12. The vocal coaches reminded us it’s up to the viewers to get their faves into the next stage of the competition.

When we suggested Chasters will help Thia achieve her dreams, the coaches were quick to agree. “Oh, we know they will,” they said.

Idol 10 Prom: Thia Megia & Top 24 semi-finalists at the blue carpet

Thia Megia attends the annual party thrown by Fox after the Top 24 is revealed on national television. They all get the initial 'taste' of success- if only fleeting for some, as next week, they perform for America's votes and a couple will be eliminated!

She joins fellow contestants at the blue carpet to meet the media for interviews and photo sessions(without Casey Abrams who we heard is sick) at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood.

The party is known to draw former Idol contestants and celebrities as well. We'll update with more pics and videos as we get them.

Thia Megia and the rest of the Top 12 Girls of Idol 10 shows off their "goofy" dance

And here comes the Top 12 Girls of American Idol Season 10 showing us their best dance moves...!

Featuring: Lauren Alaina, Karen Rodriguez, Pia Toscano, Thia Megia, Rachel Zevita, Lauren Turner, Julie Zorrilla, Kendra Chantelle, Ashton Jones, Naima Adepapo, Haley Reinhart, Ta-Tynisa Wilson and Thia Megia.

"You raise me up" indeed! Thia Megia is in the Top 24!!

Thia makes it to Top 24!!! Wow, that was intense!!

Thia Megia and Jessica Cunningham are pitted against each other for the coveted spot. It is unfortunate that this is Jessica's 7th try and she still could not be on the show...

Thia sang "You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban for her solo.

Thia Megia & Melinda Ademi: "Here Comes The Sun" on American Idol Beatles Las Vegas

UPDATE: Read this new post about the "vocal coach from hell" and watch the video segment here.

61 contestants were Las Vegas bound and only 40 were picked at the end of this Idol episode featuring the music of The Beatles. Thia is paired with Melinda Ademi and both were challenged to sing "Here Comes the Sun."

By now, you've probably heard of the "vocal coach from hell" who was mentoring Thia and Melinda. We couldn't believe what we were seeing!! This was over the top drama and antic from the producers and it's sad that vocal coach, Peggy Blu would allow herself to be played like that all for TV. Poor Thia and Melinda, they had to take the verbal 'abuse' and go through with it... That was a total lowdown! Double thumbs down American Idol!!

We'll post the full drama on the 'vocal coach from hell' later. Check back again soon!

Thia made the cut to move on to sing another solo for a spot in the Top 24. Melinda did not make it.

What a wonderful world indeed! Thia Megia moves on closer to making it into the live show!

In tonight's final round of Hollywood week, contestants are given one last chance to impress the judges and impress she did! Performing "What a wonderful world," judge Jennifer Lopez couldn't help but whisper to co-judge Steven Tyler: "She's amazing."

The Top 60 tackles the Beatles songs next week, singing along side the ensemble cast of the popular show Cirque du Soleil's "Love" in Las Vegas.

"What a Wonderful World" is a song written by Bob Thiele (as George Douglas) and George David Weiss. It was first recorded by Louis Armstrong and released as a single in 1968. (Wiki) There are about 40 or so covers of this old classic!

Where was Thia Megia on Hollywood week group round?!

Ok... Idol had two hours tonight and they didn't show Thia Megia anywhere on the footage of Hollywood week's toughest night- the group round sing off.

We understand they need to show other people's stories and drama but they should have at least shown Thia in a clip among the group. She didn't need to say a line or anything- just the assurance that she was there... They better show her tomorrow and she better be moving on to the next round... Yay! :)

Thia Megia through to the next round in Hollywood week!!

Thia Megia passes through the first round of Hollywood week cuts!

There were 327 hopefuls in Hollywood all wanting to go to the next round. At the end of the day, she was one of the 162 who made it. She sang "Summertime," a George Gershwin composition, popularized by many artists including Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Sam Cooke and Janis Joplin. Until the next round... Finger's crossed everyone!

For now, let's savor Thia's latest accomplishment.
